The movie Ms. Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children is rated PG-13 for intense appearances of fantasy, action, and violence. This fun filled adventure is based on the book “Ms. Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children” written by Ransom Riggs. The movie follows the life of Jacob Portman and his adventures. From discovering the peculiar inside of him to accepting a destiny he thought was to be impossible. The movie follows Jacob into his road of what can be called self-discovery.

At the beginning Jacob learns that the story’s his grandfather told him were much more than tall tales. What was believed to be his grandfather’s lies came to be Jacob’s reality. As the plot advances Jacob discovers secrets and mysteries that lead to the possibility of existing alternate realities and times. When Jacob enters into the world of the peculiars he discovers the place in which Ms. Peregrine and the peculiar children take shelter. These children are not regular children they have been born with extraordinary abilities. The movie captures how amazing the peculiar children actually are. Jacob encounters these children and he learns more over his grandfather’s past, the more he knows the more his grandfather begins to makes sense.

Ms. Peregrines home seems to be a safe haven for the children but then they become aware of the dangers that stand present. It is now Jacobs responsibility to protect the children from evil enemies. Jacob sets off in to his journey to figure out who is dangerous as well as who is not, along this path he must find himself and become one with himself and with his own peculiar abilities. With these ability’s Jacob will provide safety for the peculiar children of Ms. Peregrines home, these new responsibilities’ protect the safety of his peculiar friends.
